She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward M. Shaffer and Ruth E. Shaffer (Raley); and her siblings, Richard "Dick", Paul William "Bill" Shaffer and Evelyn "Sis" Shaffer.
She is survived by: her husband John "Jim" Svonavec; her children, Lisa Maurer (Matthew) of Hollsopple, Lori Laczynski (David) of Fort Meyers, FL, Lynn Pavlock (Joseph) of Sykesville, MD and James Svonavec (Tara) of Somerset; her grandchildren, Adam, Jacob, Megan, Emily, Sarah, Luke, Caleb, David, Ryan, Nathan, Samuel, Collin, Travis, Payton, Joshua, Ethan, Isaac and Olivia; and her siblings, Robert Shaffer of Somerset, Ruth Ann Sarver (Ed) of Somerset, Charles Shaffer (Maggie) of Myrtle Beach, Debbie Wolf of Somerset and Gary Shaffer (Karen) of Somerset. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
