He was predeceased by: his parents, Steve Slope and Dorothy Slope (Lantz); his wife Shirley; his granddaughter Mae Slope; and his siblings, Carol, Dorothy, Charles and James.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jennifer Emerick of Somerset and Marilyn Slope of Somerset; his grandchildren, Shawn Mishler, Julia Emerick and Braden Emerick; and his siblings, Harry Slope (Rose), Joseph Slope (Kay), Paul Slope (Peggy), Jack Slope and Martha Zeigler (Mike).
