He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis and Lillian Grace Persch, Sr. (Shaffer); his children, Marta Persch and Lewis Mark Persch; his grandson Gary Smolnik, Jr.; and his brothers, Alan and Charles Persch.
He is survived by: his wife Anna McEachern; his children, Marcy Hunt of Medina, OH, DiAnn Smolnik (Gary) of Greenville, Colleen Patrick of Sharon, Marty Persch (Terri) of Grove City and Edward Patrick of Hermitage; and his sister Marianne Dent of Texas. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
