He is survived by: his wife Jacqueline "Jackie" Kirvitis; his children, Gerald Grindrod, Jr. (Kathleen), Christopher Grindrod (Heather), Joseph Grindrod and Adriane Cuthbert (Stephen); and his siblings, Joseph Grindrod, James Grindrod and Theresa Harrar. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
