He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Mac" McKinley Bennefield and Rosetta Isabelle Bennefield (Jayne); his wife Ruth Naomi Bennefield (Haag); his son Glen Bennefield, Sr.; his daughter-in-law Geraldine "Gerry" Bennefield; his granddaughter Karen Jordan; and his great grandchild Ashley Bostick.
He is survived by: his children, Pastor Gary L. Bennefield (Claire), Minister William H. Bennefield, Jr., Karen R. Bennefield, Bishop Stephen L. Bennefield, Sr., Shirley A. Bennefield and Mary R. Christy (Edward); and his grandchildren, Glen Bennefield, Jr., Richard Bennefield, Patricia Hosey, Jason Bennefield, David Bennefield, Andrew Bennefield, Jacob Bennefield, Stephen Bennefield, Jr., Jerrold Jordan, Learl Jordan, Janise Brown, Alicia Kaufmann and Jared Ross. He is also survived by his 28 great-grandchildren; and his 7 great-great-grandchildren.
As suggested by his family, memorial contributions can be made to the Greater New & Living Way Temple, c/o the funeral home.
