He was predeceased by: his parents, Cornelius Callaghan and Carmella Callaghan; his sister Alice Rodgers; and his brother-in-law Robert Rodgers. He is survived by: his brothers, David Callaghan (Marilyn) and Cornelius "Connie" Callaghan (Patricia); his children, Tara Szymanski (Łukasz), Francis Callaghan Jr. (Julie), Stephanie Laret (Steven), James Callaghan, Julia Sturm (Daniel), Catherine Shaw (Austin), Michelle Callaghan, Courtney Potter (Jack), Kelly Callaghan and Theresa Callaghan; his former wife Theresa A. Callaghan; and his grandchildren, James, Brooklyn, Peter, Alexander, Kyler, Everleigh, Kainen, Daniel, Hanna, Brienza, Gideon, Charlotte, Robert, Riley, Brynleigh, Olivia, Norah, Jacqueline and Sophia.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to Good St. Anne for at-risk youth.
