He was predeceased by: his parents, Rosario DeSando and Helena DeSando (Pastore). He is survived by: his daughters, Cathy DeSando, Susan Shenberger (Christian) and Gina Silvestris; his grandchildren, Zachary Mahl, Stephen Hernandez, Ivy Silvestris and Adrienne Silvestris; his brother Anthony DeSando (Marge); and his nephews, Anthony and Joseph.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Charles' memory to the National Kidney Foundation.
