He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Amell and Helen Pearson Amell; his spouse Aime Tampuu; his son Ronald Amell Jr.; and his sister Marjorie Amell Conway.
He is survived by: his sister Sallyann R Foster; his granddaughter Pamela Amell; his great grandchildren, Jaidan and Jordan (Howell NJ); and his nieces, Kimberly Butterfield and Kristi Freeman (Port Allegany).
