He was predeceased by: his parents, John Knowles and Florence Knowles (Sullivan); his wife Shirley M. Grosdidier; and his siblings, John Knowles and Betty Hulsizer.
He is survived by: his children, Bruce R. Knowles (Marianne) and Brenda J. Knowles of Ridgewood, NJ; his grandsons, Bruce J. Knowles (Lora), Ryan M. Knowles (Stephanie) and Plains; and his great grandchildren, Mackenzie Knowles and Bruce J. Knowles, Jr.. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
