It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Catherine L. Panaway (Plains Township, Pennsylvania), born in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, who passed away on May 13, 2022, at the age of 51, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father William Panaway; and her brother David. She is survived by: her mother Catherine Evans Panaway; her siblings, William (Joyce) and Beth Ann Panaway (Robert Kapp); her godmother Debra Balla; her friend Amanda Hunter; and also Donald Jones. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
During the covid epidemic, Cathy had an important role for the hospital, leading the fight with making sure the hospital had enough supplies and medicine to help treat the sick and protect the working staff.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations for Cathy may be given to the Fox Chase Cancer Center, 333 Cottman Avenue, Philadelphia, PA, 19111.
