It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mark L. Painter in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, born in Reading, Pennsylvania, who passed away on March 9, 2023, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, H. Paul Painter and Betty Painter (Martin); and his son Chad A. Painter. He is survived by: his children, Kyle E. Painter (Jenna) and Molly E. Schappel (Christian); his grandchildren, Carter, Carson, Juliet, Emmett and Emery; and his sister Cynthia J. Painter.

“I was saddened to hear about Mark. I've been his upstairs neighbor from day one. He hosted a lovely holiday gathering back then for some of us in the building and had an amazing spread of way too much food! Mark was the last one standing from my early years in this building and I took comfort in that stability. I will miss his presence, the smell of his cooking, texting him when he had packages, and just chatting with him from time to time. My condolences to all whose lives he touched. -Sally”
