He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray S. Lucas and Jean C. Lucas (Spangler); his brother Dennis "Denny" Lucas; his niece Jeannie Conway; and his former wife Diane Byers Lucas.
He is survived by: his son Dylan F. Lucas (Emily); his granddaughter Audrey Louise; his son Philipsburg; and his siblings, Barbara Conway of North Carolina, Cathy Wensel (Dennis) of Beech Creek, Annette Tressler of Howard and William "Bill" Lucas (Janet) of Howard.
