He was predeceased by: his parents, Rensselaer "Rene" Gardiner and Verna R Gardiner (Cahoone); his sister Cynthia Joyce Gardiner; his grandparents, Orrin A and Gladys Rosalind Cahoone (Geer); his stepgrandmother Doris Cahoone (Powell); and his grandparents, Raymond P and Dora M Gardiner (Clarke).

He is survived by: his children, Tabetha Wotton (Gardiner), Wotten (Christopher) and Timothy Gardiner (Ashley); and his grandson Damian Gardiner. He is also survived by his former wife and mother of his two children.
