He was predeceased by: his parents, Irvin Shirk and Roberta Shirk (Stutzman). He is survived by: his wife Patricia A. Shirk (Anspach); his children, Kimberly (Chuck Beard) of Annville and Barry L., Jr. (Leann Shirk) of Palmyra; and his siblings, Roberta (Ray Bright) of Palmyra and Robert (Maria Shirk) of Frederick, Maryland. He is also survived by six grandchildren; one step great granddaughter; two nieces; and two nephews.
