He is survived by: his significant other Mary Anne (McDonald); his daughters, Emily Bosser (Chris) and Sara Cummins (Chris); his grandchildren, Cole, Brady, Abby, Kaitlin and Quinn (Poppy); and his siblings, Henry Papale (Roberta) and Frances Vitti (Carl).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh.
