He was predeceased by: his wife Susan R. Barth; his parents, John "Jack" Platt and Gertrude Platt; his sisters, Jacqueline P. Victor and Linda Kitchen; and his sisters-in-law, Carol Dwornick (Joseph) and Ellen Hermesmann (John).
He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, Jodi Antonacci (late Randy), Jada Donato (Mark L.), Patrick and Matthew Hermesmann (Emily Hardy); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Alex J. Antonacci and Annessa A. Donato; and his close friend Peter Soutouras (late Patty).
