He was predeceased by: his parents, John "Spike" Mitasky and Betty Mitasky (Lovell); his brother Edward; and his sister-in-law Michelle Romagna (Sever). He is survived by: his wife Teresa Mitasky (Sever); his children, Jessica Mitasky (Jon Thompson) of Normal, IL and Jared Mitasky (Barb Shirley) of College Park, MD.; his siblings, Virginia, John (Maria), Sharon (John), David (Carol), Betty "Betsy" Farris (Rick Turney) and Linda (Jeff); his siblings-in-law, Carolyn Mitasky, Denise Bailey (Frank), Lawrence Sever, Edward Sever and LaJose; his niece Lynn Black; and his nephew Paul Mitasky. He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
