It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Melvin Gilbert of North Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, born in Braddock, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 10, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Gilbert and Emma Morgan Gilbert (Morgan); his son Guy Gilbert; his stepmother Minnie Smeltz Martin Gilbert; and his stepbrother Barry Martin.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Gilbert (Martinsek); his sons, Gary (Trudy), Gregory (Denise) and Glenn Gilbert; his siblings, Dale Martin (Deanna), Louise Murray and Barbara Hughes; and his grandchildren, Michael, Garrett (Nina), Richard (Alexandra), Zachary (Kylie), Lindsey and Grace Gilbert. He is also survived by 3 great grandsons.
