He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Thomas and Nellie Buzzard Thomas; his sisters, Phyllis Reed and Evelyn; his half-sister Judy Pildner; and his former wife June Mihalak.
He is survived by: his children, John Thomas (Amy) of North Carolina, Patty Metzenbacher (Tracy) of Edinboro and Kim Winkelbauer (Norb); and his half-brother Danny Thomas. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.
