Carla Jean Pifer Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carla Jean Pifer of North East, Pennsylvania, born in Corry, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 19, 2023 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Carlton L. Teed and Clela "Cleo" Wickwire (Watson); her stepfather Morris "Ike" Wickwire; her brother Jerry Teed; and her former husband James M. Purpura.

She is survived by: her family Carla; her husband Calvin E. "Butch" Pifer; her children, Shawn J. Purpura (Jennifer), Heather J. Burgbacher (Jason), Aaron M. Pifer (Elizabeth) and Bryan A. Pifer (Amanda); her grandchildren, Olivia E. and Hunter J. Purpura; her children, Lia J., Dreya C., Owen J. Burgbacher, Aidan M., Ethan M., Violet L. and Gavyn A. Pifer; her siblings, Karen Richard (Terry), Wendy Wickwire, David Wickwire, Toni Johnson, Patricia Curtis (Michael), Gary Teed (Christine) and Dennis Teed; and her stepmother Kathryn Teed. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and beloved friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Greater PA Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association.
