She was predeceased by: her parents, Vincent Chanko and Aleksandra Chanko; her husband Stephen Arena, Sr.; and her siblings, Joseph, Mary Pollarine, Sophie Ferst, Clara Zoltowski and Theresa Wisniewski.
She is survived by: her children, Stephen Arena, Jr., Wayne Arena (Carol), Sandy McDonnell (Jim), Vincent Arena (Barbara), Jamie Arena and Judilyn Arena; and her grandchildren, Stephen Arena III, Robert (Claire), Lindsay McDonnell, Vince Jr., Alexander, Adam Arena and Gabrielle Fanucci.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Eleanor's name can be made to the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth, 310 N. River Road, Des Plaines, IL 60016 and mention that the donation is for their Philadelphia Retirement Home, Mount Nazareth.
