He was predeceased by: his parents, John L. Murphy and Edith Murphy (Albert); and his sister Marcia A. Fischer. He is survived by: his brother-in-law Bill; his siblings, Robin Dolan (John) of Allison Park, PA, John Murphy (Ensie) of Orlando, FL and Gail Fanning (Donald) of Phoenix, AZ; his close friends, Mike, Sue Frazier, Barbara Yandrasitz and Cary; his son Justin Murphy (Misty); and his granddaughter Lainey of New Castle, IN. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Cary's name to a charity of choice.
