He was predeceased by: his parents, John Grant Herring and Mildred Mae Miller Herring; his wife Linda Herring; and his siblings, Nancy Stottlemyer, Roy and Stanley Herring.
He is survived by: his sister Shirley A. Huff of New Oxford. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
