He was predeceased by: his parents, George Johnson and Violet Johnson; and his sister Shirley Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Marie Joan Johnson (Bellavia); his sons, Kenn Johnson (Julie O'Hara) of Aspinwall and Mark Johnson (Marcie) of New Kensington; his brother Lee Johnson (Linda) of Lower Burrell; and his grandchildren, Ashely, Adam, Aimee and Aiden Johnson. He is also survived by two nephews and six nieces.
