He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel D. Long and Pearl Long (Aderhold); his brother Byron; and his siblings-in-law, Peach Bassett and William Harris.
He is survived by: his wife Heidi Hopkins; his children, Chad Long (Brandi) of Kutztown, Ashley Nagele (Matthew) of Muncy, Tiffany Long and Preston Shipman of Muncy; his siblings, Dwight Long (Claudia) of Muncy, Ronald Long of Williamsport, Cheryl Burns (William) of Muncy, Karen Harris of Muncy and Judy Little (Jeff) of Picture Rocks; and his grandchildren, Jocelyn Nagele, Nevaeh Shipman, Aubrey Long and Layla Nagele.
