He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Harold E. Christie and Harriet C. Christie (Feigenbaum); his siblings, Harry E. Christie, Helene E. Swenson (Christie) and Howard E. Christie; his wife Judith F. Christie (Hiscar); his grandchildren, Brent G. Christie, Nicolette (Nikki), Rose and Alexandra R. Christie (Lexi); and also Valerie S. Christie (Chaya). He was also cherished by six great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in the name of Hugh E Christie, to the Montgomery Volunteer Fire Department, Montgomery Historical Society, or the Montgomery Odyssey of the Mind Program at MASD.
