He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Rowan and Anne Rowan; and his son Christian Nichol. He is survived by: his wife Ilene Rowan; his sons, Michael Rowan, Jr., Robert Colwell and Neil Colwell; his brother Ed Rowan (late Anne); and his siblings-in-law, Donna Hudson, Jeanne Smith (Ed), Emily Brenneman, Don Brenneman (Debbie) and Bob Brenneman. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mickey's name to St. Vincent de Paul, c/o St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1409 Pennsylvania Avenue, Monaca, PA 15061.
