He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael F. O'Brien and Catherine King O'Brien; his wife Wanda; his granddaughter Mackenzie O'Brien; his siblings, Daniel O'Brien, Eileen O'Brien Spotts and Mary O'Brien Steranko; and his grandson-in-law Brian Laudeman.
He is survived by: his sister Anne Chizauskie of Stowe, PA; his sons, James T. (Josephine O'Brien) of Minersville, David P. O'Brien (Peggy Prebula) of Weatherly and Neal P. O'Brien; his grandchildren, Jimmy, Monica O'Brien, Jennifer Laudeman, Michael, Lauren O'Brien, Katie O'Brien and Shane O'Brien (Loren Morgan); his pet Gunnar; and his great grandchildren, Eila, Quin, Rowan O'Brien, Cali, Colt Laudeman, Ethan and Emerson O'Brien. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to the Mackenzie O'Brien scholarship fund at the Minersville Area High School or the Disabled American Veterans association, God Bless America! .
