He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Lohin (Schlacta) and George Lohin; and his wife Helen. He is survived by: his siblings, George Lohin, John Lohin, Michael Lohin, Stephen Lohin, Emil Lohin, Veronica Kostura, Mary Panchison, Irene Tkachyk and Helen Ann Kessler; his son Joseph R. Lohin; his brother Paul (Jeanette Lohin); his grandsons, Steven Lohin (Melody), Christopher Lohin (Chrissy) and Andrew Lohin (Layla); and his great grandchildren, Aidan, Ryan, Nicholas and Nina.
