He was predeceased by: his parents, John R. Baney, Sr. and Violet (Brown). He is survived by: his children, John R. Baney, III of Mill Hall, James D. Baney (Holly) of Mill Hall, Bobbi J. Shirk (Merril) of Blanchard and Barbara J. Yingling (James) of Newport News, VA.; his grandchildren, Taylor, Brett, Salena, Ryan, Tanner and Hunter; and his great grandchild Audra.

“In loving memory of John R. Baney Jr., May your heart and soul find peace and comfort. As Andy and Mark Baney's Mom, (formerly Janet Baney) I want to offer my condolences on the passing of John. Heck, He lived in my back yard for many years! I hate to think that John is gone even though Gary and I are divorced. I know it affected Andy after the funeral when I talked to him. He's doing ok now.”
