He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Clausen and Lola Straub Clausen; and his brothers, Richard, Harold, Leslie and Andrew "Manny" Clausen.
He is survived by: his wife Anna M. Bower; his daughters, Karen Clausen (John Hunter) of Florida and Cathy Hamberger (Lloyd) of Waynesboro; and his grandson Christopher Hamberger of West Virginia. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
