She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas A. Hanley and Catherine Hanley (Connelly); her husband Joseph P. Brethel, Jr.; and her daughters-in-law, Sue Brethel and Geri Brethel.
She is survived by: her children, Joseph Brethel (Francine), Thomas Brethel, Michael Brethel, Stephen Brethel (Patricia), Dr. Maureen Brethel and Richard Brethel (Dolores); and her grandchildren, Michael, Jacquelyn, Christopher, Katie, Kimberly, Kyle, Gregory, Brendan, Samantha, Danielle, Brian and Kevin. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
