He was predeceased by: his parents, Rollin Charles and Helen Edna Emery (Grove); his wife Virginia May Schreck; and his siblings, Forrest, Warren, Richard, Neil Emery, Josephine Haggy and Kathryn Weller.
He is survived by: his son Ken; his daughter-in-law Patty Emery of Mifflinburg; his daughter Deborah; his son-in-law William Reed of Mifflinburg; his grandchildren, William Reed of Mifflinburg, Wendy (Wayne Doebler) of Mifflinburg, Stacey (Michael Campbell) of Mechanicsburg, Krista Emery (Leonardo Olvera) of Toronto and Ryan (Amy Emery) of South Berwick, Maine; and his sister Fae Hanselman of Mifflinburg. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
