He is survived by: his wife Nellie E. Atherton (Faith); his sons, G. Allen Atherton of St. Thomas, PA and Kevin Atherton (Melissa) of Mercersburg; his granddaughters, Breanna Atherton of Smithsburg, MD and Makenzie Burgess of Martinsburg, WV; his great grandchild Liam Ewan; and his sisters, Doris Tosten of Hagerstown, MD, Norma Jean Clevenger (Donald) of Mercersburg and Vesta Fogelsonger of Mercersburg.
