With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Daniel J. Newhart (Mehoopany, Pennsylvania), born in Sayre, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 4, 2020 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parent Russell G.; and his siblings, Margaret "Peggy" Jenner, Russell Newhart Jr., John Newhart and Richard Newhart.
He is survived by: his former wife Patricia Jayne; his wife Patricia "Pat" Newhart of Mehoopany, PA.; his children, Tammy Puza of Mehoopany, PA, Tim (Sheri Newhart) of Retta, PA and Bill Newhart of Starrucca, PA.; his grandchildren, Danielle Abrams (Larry) of Tunkhannock, PA, Ben Puza of Bloomsburg, PA, Timothy Newhart of Berwick, PA, Jessa Harvey, Leah Howell of Meshoppen, PA, Lauren Howell of Retta, PA, Tory Newhart of Retta, PA, Abby Newhart, Natalie Newhart of Baltimore, MD and Jackie Newhart of Binghamton, NY; his uncle Paul; and his aunt Valerie Newhart of Middletown, PA. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and special cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to Meadowview Healthcare and Rehab Center, 225 Park St., Montrose, PA 18801.
