She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred E. Gates and Viola L. Gates (Elliott); her son Terry Lohiser; her siblings, Ruby Lohiser, Betty Shafer, Norman Gates and Herbert Gates; her niece Elizabeth Lohiser; and her nephew Gary Lohiser.

She is survived by: her husband Paul Foster. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
