He is survived by: his son Michael Schaut (Marcy); his grandchildren, Michael Schaut (Lexi), Samantha Schaut (Ian Cottone) and Allison Ackerman (Rob); his great grandchild Alexander William; and his siblings, Rose Mary Haynick, Dorothy Javorsky, Raymond Schaut, Patricia Ann Kritzman, Elizabeth Minothy and James Schaut.
