He was predeceased by: his parents, George Henry and Barbara Kittle Velardo; his grandson Brandon Velardo; and his stepson Keith Macri. He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Jayne Scott Velardo; his sons, George Michael "Mike" Velardo, Jr. (Maria) of Huntingdon, TN and Matthew Holmes (Sara) of North Huntingdon; his grandchildren, Madelaine Holmes, Katrina Velardo and Garrett Holmes; his great grandchild Skylar; and his siblings, Roberta Hutchinson of White Oak, Gus Rehnstrom (Dawn) of Savannah, Georgia, Sue Zeno (Vern) of Farmington, MI and Gloria Traud (late Arnold) of West Mifflin. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
