He is survived by: his siblings, Jean Kirkaldie (late Louis), Ed McCaffrey (Kathy Dwyer), Joan O'Mara (Tom), Kas Kennedy (Rick) and Jim McCaffrey. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Mother of Mercy House, 709 East Allegheny Avenue, Philadelphia PA 19134.
