Vince Ryan wrote a sympathy message

“My sincere condolences and prayers to the Murray family. I was in the Seminary with Marty for a few years, and although not in the same class, I considered him a friend, as did almost everyone who knew him, because that's the type of person he was. He always had a kind word for everyone,and was a very likeable guy. My younger brother Joe, who passed away in 2015 of pancreatic cancer, was good friends with Marty as well, and Marty had attended several events in support of Joe prior to his death. I know you will miss him terribly, just as I miss my brother, but please know that Marty was loved and respected by many, and that Joe will be waiting excitedly along with Our Lord to welcome Marty into His Heavenly Kingdom. May Marty have eternal rest in the peace of Our Lord............May God Bless you and guide you through these difficult times....................Vince Ryan”
