It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sylvia Mermon (Mahoning, Pennsylvania), born in Bowmanstown, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 11, 2020, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Oliver Solt and Bertha Solt (Haydt); her son Paul Mermon; and her siblings, Sherry Kay Solt, Richard, Roger and Gary Solt.
She is survived by: her husband Eugene P. Mermon Sr. (Gene); her children, Jean (James Sherry), Jane (Gene O'Brian), Joan (Tim Polk), Jill (Paul Horwath) and Eugene P. Mermon Jr. (Genie); her grandchildren, Bill Ulshafer, Jason, Ronnie Fronheiser, Gene O'Brian, Ronnie Hibbler and Nicole Polk; her great grandchildren, Christopher, Samantha, Cassandra, Braden, Aleiya, Cadianne and Abbie; and her brothers, Colin Solt Sr., Todd Solt and Kerry Solt. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews.
