He is survived by: his wife Kubota; his children, Lisa (Joseph Napolitano) of Georgetown and Ronald Mertz Jr. of Lehighton; his siblings, Geraldine Yale, Martine Snyder, Richard Mertz (Donna) of Lehighton and Larry Mertz (Valerie) of Lehighton; his grandchildren, Alyssa, Ceara Rose and Andrew; and his great grandchildren, Ava Rose and Blaze.
