He was predeceased by: his parents, Fay T. Eckhard and Angeline Eckhard (Bookwalter); his wife Alice J. Eckhard; his daughter Barbara A. Alley; his siblings, David Eckhard and Martha Grose; and his grandsons, Donald Leroy Ruby and Christopher Anthony Ruby.
He is survived by: his granddaughter Traci L. Yeater of Sunbury; and his great grandchild Kayla N. Sullivan of California.
