Leona Swigart Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 4, 2020, at the age of 97, Leona Swigart (Lewistown, Pennsylvania) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George D. Aurand and Emma Mae Aurand (Grabbe); her husband George Mitchell Swigart; her brother Charles Monroe Aurand; her stepbrother Edwin Solt; and her stepmother Sydney Aurand (Solt).
She is survived by: her children, Jay Leon Swigart (Susie) of Girard, Ill, Miriam E. Wachob (Gerald) of Ephrata, Harold A. Swigart (Nancy) of McClure and Jane L. Wagner (Donald) of New Providence; her grandchildren, Suzanne Tichenel, Douglas Williams, Christopher Swigart, Laura Wiles, Carolyn Wetter, Molly Bishop, Janine Cuddy, Heather Rodriquez and Emily Neff; her siblings, Marlin G. Aurand of Belleville and Ethel V. Smith of Vira; and her sister-in-law Doris Solt. She is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions in Leona's Memory may be made to Maitland Church of the Brethren, 315 Crossover Dr., Lewistown, PA 17044, to support the development of a prayer garden at the church grounds.
