She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Aurand and Eva Rebecca Aurand (Dobson); her husband Preston Bortell; her brothers, Clark, Forrest, Millard and Glenn Aurand; and her son-in-law Jeff Miller.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sharon Mellinger and Robin Miller (Joe Porch); her grandchildren, Chris Shilling, Holly Demaree (Dave), Becki Shilling, Daryl Miller (Maggie) and Jeff Miller (Beth); her great grandchildren, Justin Tressler, Ryan Kurtz (Sara), Noah Shilling and Broden Stringer; her great great grandchildren, Victoria and John Preston Kurtz; and her caregivers, Ann, Alyssa, Donna, Sue, Karen, Michelle, Sandy and Tiffany.
