She was predeceased by: her parents, William E. Schmidt and Ruth M. Schmidt (Walker); her husband Richard C. Kratzer; her sons, Marshall Kratzer and Stephen Kratzer; and her siblings, Lois Basom and William E. Schmidt Jr..

She is survived by: her sister Margaret Rodkey of Cape Coral, FL; her grandchildren, Angela Specht (Scott) of Lewistown, Stephanie Blasingame and Stephen M. Kratzer (Brittany) of Liverpool; her great grandchildren, Kimberly Parker (Alan), Courtney, Madison, Daniel, Jackson and Liberty; her sister-in-law Donna Carolus of McVeytown; and her daughter-in-law Cynthia Gaisior of Millerstown. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
