With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Littleton of Levittown, Pennsylvania, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who passed away on May 3, 2023 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his daughter Joan Howell; his parents, Medford Littleton and Elva Littleton (Newsome); and his siblings, Med Littleton and Elaine Domanico.

He is survived by: his wife Joan (Griffith); his daughters, Cindy Coyle-Barile (Tony) and Terry Mallon (Chris); his son-in-law Brian Howell; his grandchildren, LeeAnn Fitzgerald-Gallagher (Mike), John Heaton (Patti), Bill Coyle (Desiree), Dan Coyle (Maureen), Kevin, Sarah Howell, Bridget and Molly Mallon; his great grandchildren, Courtney, Madison, Bailey, Nick, Daniel, Brian, Chad, Billy, Brookelynn, Emma and Hunter; his sisters, Jean Lynch and Linda Wiggins (Herb); his sisters-in-law, Marilyn Littleton and Dottie Griffith; and his niece Regina Shields.

“My first meeting with Bill was in a Chair Exercise Class at the Y. Joan and Bill sat in the front row and I sat in the back. I was amazed at the heavy weights that he used. He was a very physically fit man. Then, I learned that he was a cornea transplant recipient. My late husband was an exclusive cornea donor. Since there is no blood flow to the corneas, they weren't contaminated from his cancer. This created a special bond between us. Love never dies. Lean on me for support, Joan.”
