He is survived by: his former wife Mee Lee of Michigan; his children, Mao Khua, Nom Lauj, MaiDoua, Zer, Avee, Lue, See Thong, Mai Kor and Cha; and his siblings, Yer Vang, Chong Vang, Mai Gao Vang and Mai Tao Vang. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren.
