She was predeceased by: her parents, Jerry Shaffer and Mary Shaffer (Barger); her daughter Karen Garner; and her brother William D. Shaffer. She is survived by: her granddaughters, Maxine (Charlie Cook, Jr.) and Sheena (Ron Simmons); her great grandchildren, Keshon Cherry, Alonzo, Jr. of Washington, Korin, Sarai and Kimora Simmons; her great great grandchildren, Alize, Keziyah, Keshon Jr., Keran, Jyshon Cherry, Alonzo III, Yamajesty and Alani of Washington; and her sister Joyces Shaffer.
