He was predeceased by: his parents, William Harvey Butler and Violet Mae Butler (Foley). He is survived by: his sons, Neal R. Butler (Rebecca) of Wilmore, Douglas W. Butler (Beverley) of Dawson and Daniel J. Butler (Tammy) of Leesburg, OH; and his siblings, James Butler, Faye Landman, Nancy Crossland and Delores Crayton. He is also survived by five grandchildren and eleven great- grandchildren.
